JUNE 4, 2013 SANTA CLARA COUNTY SPECIAL ELECTION
Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors
District 2
Vacancy

http://www.sccgov.org/sites/rov/Elections/june2013/Pages/default.aspx

I am  running for Supervisor to fill a position vacated by the former elected Supervisor who had to resign due to his abuse of power and failure to fulfill his oath of office.

I am the only candidate who has the longevity and track record in the district.  I didn't move into the district to run for the position-I've lived here since 1966.  I encourage you to read 30 reasons on this web site to be better informed about my background.  More importantly, I'm running because I care.  I'm not looking for a job- I have a job as a public schoolteacher.  I will retire and dedicate myself full-time to winning this race in order to have the right leader representing us.

We need to elect people based on their qualifications, experience and intent-not on how much money they can raise to run a campaign or how many endorsements they can get.  My endorsements will come from you, the voters and residents of the district.

Serve with honesty, commitment and integrity will be my pledge to you.  I will do my best to improve the quality of life for all of us.  I don't have all the answers to all the problems, but will seek solutions and insist on an open government and transparency.

As your Supervisor I will:

Establish a satellite office in the district which will be self-funded.
Hold evening meetings for the public to participate.
Audit Supervisor's spending by an independent party.
Mandate an audit of all  County spending: Department, Staffing, Expenditures, Liabilities.
Reduce crime.
Improve transportation.
Protect our environment.
Create and retain employment.
Support education
Provide for those in need.
Reduce wasteful spending.
Establish good practices and policies.
Open government.
