I have spent a lifetime teaching young and adult students to read, write, learn math, science and to become successful students in our changing global economy. Working with industry to promote a well prepared workforce is essential. Education is our business.
Their future is in our hands.
There is nothing like the twinkle in their eyes and smile on their faces; each day when I open the door and look into their eyes I am so blessed to be their teacher and to know that I have taught them to read, write, do math and began to prepare them for the A-G requirements. It's never too early to teach children that they are going on to higher education, vocational training or whatever they want to achieve in life. Most children I teach, live below the poverty level and their parents struggle to provide affordable housing, food and live in neighborhoods where there's a high crime rate. Santa Clara County must provide the resources necessary for families to have safe neighborhoods, parks, libraries that are open and services which will enhance the quality of life.
I have fought for responsible spending, policies which address sounds educational practices and accountability. There are many challenges ahead and District 2 needs a responsible and experienced candidate with no hidden agendas who is honest, independent and most of all, has the best interest of students and the community.
I have the passion, commitment and experience to serve you as your Supervisor. I will work for you. Help me by being involved and donate to my campaign. It's an investment in our community.

A few of my students went to day care or preschool. None of them were ready for the challenging curriculum and were linguistically prepared. I work with their parents and teach them how to support their children at home.
More parks, libraries and homework centers are needed in San Jose.
